Energetic devices often contain internal cavities, bridge wires, delay columns, and pressed charges that cannot be visually inspected once assembled. Digital X-ray inspection allows us to identify incomplete or misaligned assemblies, cracks, voids, or density inconsistencies in loaded powders or pellets, improper press profiles or gaps in bonding interfaces, and foreign object debris (FOD) or contamination. These defects, if undetected, can result in catastrophic failure or degraded performance in mission-critical systems such as missile fuzes, egress systems, and CAD/PAD devices.
