Riverbend Energetics operates from a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Alton, Illinois, designed to meet the high-volume and high-reliability requirements of defense and aerospace energetic device production. Our site provides end-to-end capabilities for processing, assembling, testing, and shipping energetic components, with full traceability and compliance controls integrated at every stage.

The facility spans over 70,000 square feet of manufacturing space, configured for modular, scalable production of both standardized and program-specific components. Located on a 78-acre controlled-access site, the campus includes 19 on-site explosive storage magazines designed in compliance with DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB) and ATF requirements, allowing us to safely handle a wide range of pyrotechnic and high explosive materials on-site.

Our manufacturing lines are equipped with interchangeable, CNC-supported tooling and automated equipment tailored for pressing, loading, and assembling small energetic devices. This flexibility allows us to support both low-rate initial production (LRIP) and full-rate production (FRP) without compromising quality, throughput, or safety.

In-house capabilities include energetic material blending and drying, precision pressing, delay column loading, electric initiator assembly, non-destructive testing (X-ray and TTT), environmental qualification, and final packaging. All processes are documented under our ISO 9001:2015-certified quality system and support program-specific Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT), First Article Inspection (FAI), and Engineering Change Order (ECO) validation.

Strategically located approximately 40 minutes from St. Louis Lambert International Airport, Riverbend is positioned for efficient logistics coordination and rapid response to customer and program needs. Our facility also supports classified and ITAR-controlled programs under secure data handling protocols.
