Riverbend Energetics is a U.S. owned small business and ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer specializing in the development and production of energetic components for critical defense and aerospace applications. With a legacy that spans more than six decades, Riverbend has earned its place as a trusted partner to warfighters, integrators, and program offices across the U.S. Department of Defense.

Originally founded in 1958 and headquartered in Alton, Illinois, Riverbend has played a central role in supplying small energetic devices to the fuze, rocket, mortar, and artillery supply chains. Today, we continue to support these programs with expanded automation, increased production capacity, and enhanced quality assurance capabilities. Our product portfolio includes electric and stab detonators, CADs and PADs, initiators, delay devices, and subcomponents used in safe and arm mechanisms, egress systems, and missile payload separation.

Under new ownership since September of 2023, Riverbend Energetics is building on its strong foundation by advancing novel production methods, expanding its capabilities in test and automation, and investing in workforce development. We continue to prioritize responsiveness, engineering discipline, and mission-aligned execution as we grow alongside the programs we serve.
